Where it started

education

I found myself applying for a 2 year program studying at Georgian college in the Media Arts and Photography program. Throughout those 2 years I was tried and tested. An entirely new world was opened to me while studying here. During my time there I learned how to do more than just click a button.

zOOM IN ON MY LIFE

Hi there, I'm Faith, of Faith Caza Photography. I believe that everyone needs to have a creative outlet whether that be music, dance or painting. Mine is photography. I chose to pursue being a photographer because it is where I feel the most peace. I have always been creative, and while I cannot draw, I love to create art through my camera.

My family

I have been with my partner for nearly a decade. We have two beautiful boys who are our entire world. Both of our boys love trying to be behind the camera with me, and are both creative in so many ways. We have two cats, Toothless and Salami, and two dogs, Hazel and Jessie. We have a full house but we wouldn't have it any other way.

My roots

I come from a city in northern Canada, Thunder Bay. I lived in Thunder Bay for 14 years before moving to Barrie. I still try to visit family in Thunder Bay as often as possible and always try to grab a tasty persian, or grab lunch at one of my favourite places, Mr. Chinese. I spent a lot of my childhood camping and fishing, and have fished in some of the best place for fishing in Ontario.

my hobbies

When I am not behind the camera, I spend my time reading (Huge Potter head), baking or working on mechanical things with my partner. I love exploring and travelling. I have a deep fasincation for astrology and space. I have recently found interest in Cricut design and hope to be able to create products that I can incorperate with my photography.

what I learned

I learned that everything I had already known, was just the start of what would become one of the best challenges I would experience. Under the guidance of my mentors, I learned not just to capture a picture, but how to create a memory. I spent 2 years learning how to use my camera to my fullest advantage. It did not end there because there is much more to creating photos than a click of a button. I dove headfirst into Photoshop, lightroom, and many other Adobe software. Working with these programs over 2 years allowed me to strengthen my editing skill set and gave me a huge advantage in the photography world. I also spent a great deal of time working with lighting, digitial art and even some videography. The education did not stop there though, we spent time learning how to pose our subjects, and how to create a client experience. The opportunties to learn kept coming, there are always new things to learn when creating. Whether it's learning new methods, new lighting techniques, new software or just taking a step in a new direction. There is always something to learn. Because of what I learned under my mentors and through my colleagues it has given me the ability to give my clients a full experience.

Experiences

During my time at Georgian College, I was given many opportunities to gain hands-on experience. I was able to work with many unique clients which allowed me to develop skills for many different clients and situations. In my high school years, I took several multimedia and photography courses, I even got to take a dabble at developing film. I look forward to gaining more experience throughout my career and hope that whoever is reading this, is a part of that journey.
